Thiruvananthapuram: There is a possibility of heavy rain in Kerala today, warned the meteorological department. The rains are due to the presence of a cyclonic circulation over the Comorin region.
Red alert has been declared for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts today. Alappuzha, Kottayam and Ernakulam districts are on orange alert today. Yellow alert has also been announced in Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts.
Orange alert has been announced for Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kannur districts and Yellow alert for Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam and Kasaragod districts and yellow alert in Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram and Wayanad districts. Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea from September 5 to September 8.
