Thiruvananthapuram: The Meteorological Center has declared that there is a possibility of heavy rain in the state today. The warning is that heavy rainfall will continue in southern districts and central Kerala. Yellow alert has been issued to Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki and Ernakulam districts today.
There is a possibility of widespread rain in Kerala till November 4 as a result of the influence of the low pressure area extending over Kerala and Tamil Nadu till the south-east Arabian Sea. The Central Meteorological Department has also predicted that there is a possibility of severe thunderstorms at isolated places.
Heavy rain is likely in Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Malappuram and Wayanad districts tomorrow.
Yellow alert has been issued in Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam and Malappuram districts on Thursday and Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Malappuram and Wayanad districts on Friday. There is a possibility of isolated heavy rain.
