Thiruvananthapuram: Rain warning for ten districts of the state. The Meteorological Centre has issued a warning for the districts from Thiruvananthapuram to Malappuram. Pathanamthitta and Idukki are on orange alert. Yellow alert has been announced in eight other districts. There is a rain warning in 12 districts except Kannur and Kasaragod tomorrow.
Although yellow alert has been given in some districts, due to the possibility of isolated heavy thundershowers in the hilly areas, it has been suggested that caution similar to the orange alert should be observed in the hilly areas which have received heavy rains in the past few days.
Rainfall in Kerala is due to the influence of cyclonic circulation over Tamil Nadu and neighbouring areas. The Central Meteorological Department has informed that from November 3 to November 7, there is a possibility of widespread rain in the state and heavy thundershowers may occur at isolated places.
