Thiruvananthapuram: The Meteorological Center has said that rain will continue in the state today. There is a rain warning for 12 districts today. Pathanamthitta, Kottayam and Idukki districts are on orange alert. The Meteorological Department has informed that there may be a heavy rainfall of 115.6 mm to 204.4 mm in 24 hours.
Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts are on yellow alert. Heavy rainfall means rainfall between 64.5 mm and 115.5 mm in 24 hours. Also, the Meteorological Department informs that there is a chance of rain at isolated places in all the districts.
Meanwhile, there is no restriction for fishing in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Lakshadweep coasts. The rainfall is due to the influence of the cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal and the Sri Lankan coast. Rain will continue in the state till November 7.
