Trivandrum: Gusty wind and thunderstorms are likely to occur in the state until June 11. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday that monsoon is likely to hit Kerala in the next 48 hours. Cyclone Biporjoy over the central and eastern Arabian Sea had intensified into a very severe cyclonic storm. A yellow alert has also been declared in Alappuzha and Ernakulam districts in Kerala today.

08-06-2023: Alappuzha and Ernakulam
09-06-2023: Trivandrum, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, and Alappuzha
10-06-2023: Pathanamthitta and Idukki
11-06-2023: Pathanamthitta and Idukki
The Central Meteorological Department had announced yellow alert in these districts. The possibility of isolated heavy rains is predicted in these districts. Heavy rain in the range of 64.5 milliliters to 115.5 milliliters will be received in 24 hours.
There will be a possibility of high waves in the seashore with a height of 2.6 to 3.5m.
