Ernakulam: As the Kochi Metro approaches its sixth year of operation, administrators have scheduled programs and discounts in ticket prices, and there will be several games scheduled in the metro stations, which include chess competitions at JLN Stadium station and board games under Edapally metro station starting today at 10:00 a.m.
On the day of the anniversary, tickets will be cheaper for passengers. Tickets will be distributed for Rs. 20 for tickets that cost Rs. 30, 40, 50, and 60 on June 17th. A product display and sales fair will be held at the Kaloor Metro Station by EDRAC, an organisation of resident groups. 60 short films have made their submissions for the short film contest conducted by the actor’s organisation ‘AMMA’ and the Metro authorities.
A contest called “Bobanum Molyum” will be held in the Vyttila Metro Station on June 17th at 2:00 p.m. Students under 15 will compete in a sketching and chess tournament on the day itself.
A famous artist will create caricatures of people inside metro trains on June 15. The Public Transport Conclave will take place in association with SCMS College on June 16. Kudumbashree exhibition and sale fares will be conducted at Aluva, Kalamassery, Palarivattam, Kaloor, MG Road, Kadavanthra, Vyttila and Vadakkekotta station on June 11th–17th. Metro organisers will also host a flower and mango festival in Vyttila station on June 22–25.
