West Bengal Governor Dr. CV Ananda Bose has generously donated his one-month’s salary to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for flood relief. Raj Bhavan officials received instructions to present this contribution on the occasion of the birthday of governor’s wife, Lakshmi Ananda Bose which was on October 2nd.
Raj Bhavan has officially communicated that, considering the flood situation affecting seven districts, the governor has made this compassionate decision to support those in need.
Heavy rainfall has been reported in several districts, including Kolkata, Cooch Behar, Purba Medinipur, Bankura, Jalpaiguri, Kalimpong, Purulia, Paschim Medinipur, and South 24 Parganas. 35 relief camps have been set up at various locations across the state.
