Thiruvananthapuram: Culture Minister Saji Cherian expressed his optimism that Kerala would attain a level of development similar to Dubai and Singapore within the next three years, crediting the efforts of the Pinarayi government. He also pointed out that Kerala would become one of the most developed regions globally, even as some parts of the world still face issues like hunger, as is the case in America.
Minister Cherian made these remarks during a meeting marking the formation of the Navakerala Sadass (New Kerala Assembly). He further stated that by 2024, Kerala aims to become the first state in the world with zero hunger, while acknowledging that challenges persist elsewhere.
The Minister highlighted that there hasn’t been a single complaint against the Left Cabinet over the past seven years. He playfully questioned whether anyone could even complain about a 10-paise strong tea. Kerala is currently witnessing impressive economic growth, making it one of the world’s fastest-growing regions. Minister Saji Cherian sees the Navakerala Sadass as a precursor to this continued growth.
