Kochi: Rakesh Ravindran, a native of Alappuzha, was arrested for making a bomb threat at Nedumbassery Airport. The incident occurred last night as he was about to board a Spice Jet flight to Dubai. During the baggage check, he threatened to have a bomb in his bag.
During the inspection, officials noticed that Rakesh’s luggage exceeded the permitted weight limit. They subsequently advised him to reduce the weight of his luggage. In response, the young man issued a bomb threat. Consequently, the bomb squad arrived and conducted an investigation.
Following the inspection, the flight departed two hours later than scheduled. Rakesh was handed over to the Nedumbassery police by the airport authorities. After an examination, Rakesh Ravindran was released on bail.
