New Delhi: The central government has escalated its investigation into the explosion at the convention centre in Kalamassery. The National Security Guard (NSG) is deploying a team from Delhi to Kerala with the primary task of gathering and examining materials associated with the blast. The team is expected to arrive this evening.
The explosion resulted in the death of one individual and caused injuries to over 35 people. An eight-member NSG squad is on the way to Kerala to conduct a comprehensive investigation at the site of the explosion.
This move is in direct response to the orders from NSG chief MA Ganapathy. A specialised bomb disposal unit, consisting of officers and dogs, has been dispatched to Kerala to conduct assessments on the explosives involved in the incident.
