Abu Dhabi : In a new step to strengthen educational ties between Bharat and Dubai, Union Minister for Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan, has announced that the government plans to open an office of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in Dubai. On Wednesday, the Union Minister met with Sara Musallam, the Minister of State (MoS) for Early Education and Chairperson of the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), in Abu Dhabi.
Appreciating the Minister and the leadership for the establishment of the IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi campus, Pradhan emphasized that Bharat and the UAE can set an example of friendship and diplomacy through such projects. Pradhan expressed his pleasure in meeting Sara Musallam and engaging in productive discussions about expanding cooperation in education and strengthening education as a cornerstone of our bilateral relations.

Pradhan further highlighted that Indian children in the Emirates maintain a strong connection with their homeland’s culture and curriculum, thanks to the substantial support provided by the UAE. He mentioned, ‘UAE’s support to Indian schools has played a crucial role in ensuring that Indian children in the Emirates remain connected to Indian curricula and their cultural roots.’

On Wednesday, Pradhan also visited the upcoming campus of IIT Delhi and met with Minister of Education, Ahmad Al Falasi, in Abu Dhabi. According to the Ministry of Education, ‘The Ministers signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance existing educational cooperation, promote student and faculty mobility, and undertake various other initiatives.’
The Union Education Minister is on a 3-day visit to the UAE, aiming to promote collaboration, participation, and synergy in critical areas of mutual interest in education and the skill domain.
