Ernakulam: The charge sheet against Christal Raj, the accused in the abduction and sexual assault case involving an eight-year-old girl in Aluva, will be filed today at the Ernakulam POCSO Court. Charges pressed against the accused encompass sexual assault and kidnapping.
The incident occurred on September 7, when the accused abducted a young migrant girl from her residence in Edayappuram, Keezhmadu Panchayat, near Aluva, subjecting her to torment. Christal Raj reportedly entered the house in the early hours, taking the child to a nearby field, where the assault occurred.
Hearing the child’s cry, the local residents went in search, and Christal Raj ran away. He was arrested later that same evening. The police have stated that he has a history of criminal activities, having been previously implicated in a POCSO case and a case involving the molestation of an elderly woman in Perumbavoor.
