Alappuzha: The quantum of punishment for the accused in the murder case of OBC Morcha state secretary Ranjith Sreenivasan will be pronounced today. The Mavelikkara Additional Sessions Court found 15 PFI (Popular Front of India) terrorists guilty in the case. The court stated that all the accused were involved in the conspiracy, and eight individuals directly participated in the murder.
Ranjith Srinivasan was killed on December 19, 2021. PFI terrorists broke into the house at Vellakkinar in Alappuzha and hacked him to death in front of his mother, wife, and daughter. The killing followed massive conspiracies in three stages.
Alappuzha DYSP NR Jayaraj completed the investigation and filed the chargesheet in the case, presenting around 1,000 documents and more than 100 mainours as evidence. Evidence such as fingerprints, scientific findings, CCTV footage, and route maps prepared with the help of Google Maps was also presented in the case.
