Jaipur: Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh slammed the Congress party while attending the Lok Sabha election campaign in Rajasthan. He stated that during the Congress’ rule, the country was mired in corruption. Rajnath Singh accused the Congress party of being corrupt, stating that there is an unbreakable bond between Congress and corruption, and it follows the party wherever it goes.
Rajnath Singh highlighted that during the Congress era, if 100 paise were set aside for development, only 14 paise were spent, and the remaining 86 paise were stolen through corruption.
Furthermore, Rajnath Singh pointed out that no allegations of corruption arose during the ten-year rule of the NDA government. He made these remarks while addressing the election campaign of BJP candidate Arjun Ram Meghwal in the Bikaner constituency of Rajasthan.
Rajnath Singh then emphasized that in the past, world countries used to perceive Bharat as a nation of poverty and unemployment. However, since the NDA government took office in 2014, Bharat’s economy has climbed from 11th to 5th place globally.
Rajnath Singh cited global economic research suggesting that Bharat is poised to attain the 3rd rank in the global economy.
Then, he said about the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposal on ‘One Nation, One Election’, Singh mentioned the formation of a committee chaired by former President Ram Nath Kovind. He appealed to the people of the country to support this initiative.
