New Delhi: World Health Organisation Regional Director Dr Poonam Khetrapal Singh on Monday lauded India’s budget for 2021-22. She said that the budget showed India’s commitment towards the fight against Covid 19.
“It has not only done this for its own country but it has also gone out of its way to support other countries of the Southeast Asian region with supplies and now vaccines so that those are vulnerable, their needs are also addressed”, said Singh.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman on Monday announced a package of 35,000 crores for the development of Covid vaccine during her budget speech.
