Emphasising the need for adequate medical and health care facilities to tackle the situation arising due to Black Fungus and possible Third wave, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked the officials to prepare post-COVID wards and PICU wards along with providing training to paediatricians, technicians and paramedical staff of all district hospitals.
The CM, during his routine meeting with Team- 9 members here on Tuesday, further emphasized on other critical issues, including amongst others, provision of adequate medication for black fungus treatment and setting up of oxygen plants in private medical colleges.
In a novel step to ensure proper post-covid treatment, CM Yogi asked the Health Department that ‘Post-Covid Ward’ should be prepared in all dedicated COVID Hospitals. Post Covid patients must be assigned a bed with requisite oxygen availability in an L-1 hospital. Along with proper medical care, arrangements should also be made for food to such patients.
The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has decided in a recent cabinet meeting that the treatment of Post-Covid patients will be free in the state. The CM has said that the Covid patients who got negative but still need post-covid handling, should be provided with the same medical care as is being rendered to COVID patients in all government hospitals.
The Yogi Government has spared no efforts to make sure all the arrangements have been made against this COVID-19 disease, especially for children so that they do not fall short of treatment.
