The Lockdown imposed in Bihar to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection was extended till June 01 in the state.
The decision for the extension of the lockdown from May 25 till June 01 was taken in a meeting of the crisis management group held on Monday under the chairmanship of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Soon after the meeting, the Chief Minister informed about the decision through his official tweet on social media.
In his tweet, CM Kumar said that in view of the surging cases of coronavirus infection, the lockdown was imposed on May 5 for a period of three weeks.
He said that the situation was reviewed in the meeting of the crisis management group attended by his cabinet colleagues and senior officers.
“The lockdown had a positive impact and the number of cases declined following which the lockdown was further extended in the state,” said CM Kumar.
