Karnataka reported 16,608 fresh cases of the COVID-19 and 364 deaths from the virus in the past 24 hours, as per a health bulletin released on Friday.
The positivity rate in the state is 10.66 per cent while the fatality rate stood at 2.26 per cent.
Among the fresh deaths, state capital Bengaluru reported the highest of 206 deaths, followed by Mysuru with 18 deaths, Kolar with 10 and Bengaluru Rural district with nine.
The fresh cases came from 1,50,610 tests conducted in the past day. As many as 22,316 more patients have also recovered.
