Chennai: Ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha Election, the Union Minister for Home Affairs will visit Tamil Nadu today. On Sunday, June 11, Shah will address a mega rally in Vellore to highlight the achievements of the central government. Shah has planned to have discussions with industrialists at a private hotel in Guindy, Chennai.
On his arrival in Chennai, Shah is likely to meet BJP leaders of the state unit, after which he will address a public meeting in Vellore as part of the BJP’s outreach programme. BJP state president K Annamalai will preside over the meeting in Vellore.
The state BJP leaders are making elaborate arrangements for his visit and are expected to give him a rousing welcome. BJP sources said Shah’s visit will galvanise the grassroot cadre of the BJP. It will be the key to the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections.
Following the participation in the Vellore event, Shah planned to visit Andhra Pradesh.
