Chennai: A poster war has begun in Tamil Nadu against the Governor, RN Ravi, for dismissing DMK Minister, Senthil Balaji, after he was arrested by Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a job scam. The DMK supporters have installed many posters against the Governor near the party’s headquarters in Chennai.

The posters questioned the Governor’s decision and asked him about Union Ministers who are in Central Government with cases registered against them.

However, the massive DMK support for the accused leader Senthil Balaji has forced the Governor to put the dismissal order in abeyance for the time being and has informed the CM about the decision.

Governor RN Ravi had dismissed the Minister from the Cabinet saying that Balaji is facing serious criminal proceedings in several cases of corruption. Abusing his position as a minister, he has been influencing the investigation, the Governor said.

The DMK supremo and Chief Minister, MK Stalin, has also backed his minister, who is charged in corruption cases. Raising his voice against the Governor, he said, “The governor has no authority to dismiss a minister from the Cabinet. The government will face the issue legally.”
