Delhi: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma openly criticized Congress leader and Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi during his address at the national executive meeting of the BJP Mahila Morcha in Guwahati. Sharma firmly condemned Rahul Gandhi, stating, “Engaging in corruption after adopting the Gandhi name as their family legacy is the path Rahul and his family have chosen. They initially usurped the Gandhi name, and now the opposition alliance is named ‘I.N.D.I.A’. However, Rahul has not done anything to contribute to the greatness of our country.”
“Gandhiji secured independence for India, and then you stole the Gandhi family name, becoming duplicate Gandhis. This ‘name’ has been the initial scam in India. Now, they’re attempting to hold the opposition alliance and name it ‘India.’ If a rogue were to name himself Gandhi tomorrow, would he automatically become a saint? By what formula did Indira, Rahul, Rajiv, and Priyanka transform into Gandhis?” asks Himanta Biswas.
“The Congress has done nothing to bring glory to India. Your decision to adopt the name ‘India’ is questionable. You lack the authority to claim the name ‘India.’ Will you consider using ‘Bharat’? I respectfully request Rahul to disassociate himself from the name ‘Gandhi’ at the very least, as it too is a duplicated title,” Himanta Biswa Sharma remarked.
