Thrissur: The CPI (M) activists have been reported to have destroyed the posters of BJP candidate Suresh Gopi and the BJP’s flagpole, which were put up as part of the election campaign in Thrissur. The incident occurred in the Venkitangu panchayat in Thrissur.
The CPI(M) activists destroyed the posters after the BJP refused to comply with the insistence of CPI(M) leaders, that only CPI(M)’s posters should be allowed in the village.
A similar incident happened in Guruvayur two days before, where CPI (M) activists not only destroyed Suresh Gopi’s posters but also assaulted a BJP activist who questioned their actions.
Suresh Gopi, a popular figure in Thrissur, has garnered significant support from the local populace. CPI (M) is destroying posters and election campaign materials of the BJP after the people rejected the falsehoods propagated by both the left and right fronts.
