Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday said 72 Panchayats recorded Test Positivity Rate (TPR) above 50 percent, in the State.
Addressing a press conference here this evening, the CM said 30 % TPR was recorded in more than 300 Panchayats and 57 Panchayats recorded COVID positive cases between 500 and 2000.
Ernakulam district showed 50 percent TPR in more than 19 Panchayats, he added.
Though the Centre allotted 3 new Oxygen plants, Kerala requires 450 metric tonne Oxygen till May 15. The Prime Minister has been appraised of the measures taken by Kerala to control the second wave of COVID. A letter has been sent to the PM seeking to release 219 metric tons of Oxygen daily to Kerala, he added.
