Thiruvananthapuram: Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shobha Karandlaje accused the Kerala government for blocking the Union Government’s welfare schemes for the people.
Shobha Karandlaje said that the Kerala government does not provide the list of the beneficiaries and bank account details. She added that the Union Government does not show any discrimination towards the state even though the BJP has not a single MP from Kerala.
The Minister of State was addressing a media conclave in the capital city on May 29.
Minister of State, V Muraleedharan also spoke on the occasion and said that Kerala’s Ministers’ allegations that the center ignores the state is complete lie.
BJP State President, K Surendran, said that thousands of people in Kerala got houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He said that during the Covid-19 pandemic the central government provided the state with food grains. Also the center had given 5.44 crores of vaccines free of cost.
Surendran also said that 37.5 lakh farmers got Rs.6000 per year under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. He added that 72 lakh Keralites got medical treatment under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
