Kochi: The police arrested absconding human trafficker Muhammad Haneeba for trying to traffic illiterate women to foreign country through Nedumbassery international airport. He had taken seven women to the airport to traffic them to Kuwait July 17, 2022. The police had arrested two persons earlier in connection with this case.

Haneeba used to take women aged between 30 to 40 to Kuwait on the pretext of job as maids. He used to identify illiterate women from poor families in villages in Tamil Nadu. He would then offer them free passports, Visa, tickets and medical facility.

These trafficked women are first send to Dubai. His plan was to then stitch the page with Kuwait Visa stamped on to the passport and to fly these women Kuwait from there.

The accused said that he used this plan as it is very difficult to enter Kuwait for women who have low education. The police said that once the women reached Kuwait the accused planned of handing them to the agents there.
