Pathanamthitta: Two people were killed when KSRTC bus collided with a van in Pandalam. Both are natives of Ernakulam. The deceased have been identified as Johnson Mathew (48), a native of Kizhakkambalam, and Shyam VS (30), a native of Edathala. The accident happened around 6:30 in the morning.
The KSRTC bus and the delivery van collided near Pandalam Kurampala. The delivery van was coming from Pandalam towards Adoor. The preliminary conclusion is that the driver of the van fell asleep as the cause of the accident.
Two people in the van died on the spot. 15 people in the bus were injured. The police informed that they have been admitted to the hospital and further investigations are being conducted in the incident.
