KOZHIKODE: On September 23, the Kozhikode district administration made the decision to resume physical classes in educational institutions starting from Monday. Presently, educational institutions in the district remain closed, conducting classes online as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the Nipah virus.
However, it’s important to note that this decision does not apply to educational institutions located within containment zones. Institutions within these zones will continue to conduct classes online.
As per the district collector’s order, students (excluding those in containment zones) are expected to attend schools starting from Monday, September 25. Both students and teachers are required to wear masks and use sanitizers, with school authorities ensuring that sanitizers are readily available at entry gates.
All educational institutions, from schools to professional colleges, had been closed for a week due to the Nipah outbreak in the district.
