Thiruvananthapuram: CRPF has taken charge of the security at Kerala Raj Bhavan. A 30-member team from the Pallipuram CRPF camp has assumed responsibility for protecting the Raj Bhavan. CRPF personnel have joined Kerala police on duty in front of the main gate of Raj Bhavan.
This afternoon, the Union Home Ministry issued an order to provide Z Plus security to Kerala Raj Bhavan and Governor Arif Mohammad Khan. This decision was made after the recent frequent attacks against the Kerala Governor by SFI members.
The shift in security protocol for the Kerala Governor highlights the failure of the Kerala Police in providing adequate security, emphasizing the challenging law and order situation in Kerala.

This development followed an incident this morning, where a group of SFI activists rushed towards the Governor’s vehicle with a black flag. Faced with continuous blockades from the SFI in recent days, the Governor got out of the car and confronted the attackers. He questioned the state police about their security duties and also inquired how they would provide security if it were the Chief Minister. The Governor stated that the state police had failed in providing security.
