Ernakulam: The High Court dismissed the plea of former Finance Minister Thomas Isaac in the Masala Bond case. The Court refused to extend the period for ED summons, questioning why there was reluctance to appear and testify. Additionally, the Court clarified that no interim order would be issued.
The ED informed the Court that the interrogation would be recorded via video. The Court stated that Isaac’s plea would be considered alongside KIIFB’s plea on Friday.
Thomas Isaac was directed by the ED to appear on February 13 in the Masala bond case. Despite notices sent on January 12 and 21, he did not appear, leading the ED to issue summons again. Subsequently, Isaac approached the High Court seeking an extension for the summons.
