Kottayam: In a recent string of events, the service of a private bus was disrupted as CITU flags were placed on the bus, followed by an assault on the bus owner, Rajmohan Kaimal.
After CITU leaders disrupted bus operations by placing their union flags on bus, the bus owner, facing the threat of losing his livelihood, resorted to selling lottery tickets in front of his bus. The incident quickly went viral on various social media platforms, drawing attention to the matter.
These incidents occurred last week, right in front of the police officers who were assigned to protect Rajmohan as per the High Court’s order.
Despite the troubles he faced, Rajmohan bravely stated to the press that he will continue to fight against the injustices perpetrated by the CITU leaders. Encouragingly, the bus service resumed on Wednesday morning, much to the delight of the passengers who heavily relied on this mode of transportation.
During the period of bus suspension, regular passengers were forced to spend Rs 300 per day on alternative options such as auto-rickshaws and taxis. Local residents expressed their relief at the resumption of bus services, viewing it as a warning to the CITU troublemakers who had initially disrupted the service by placing their flag on the bus.
Remarkably, Rajmohan himself traveled on the first service after the resumption, accompanied by his staff and passengers, symbolizing his determination to stand up against such actions.
