Thiruvananthapuram: Former Associate Editor of Deshabhimani newspaper, a mouthpiece of the CPI(M), G Sakthidharan, in a Facebook post, has directly targeted the Chief Minister, in the allegation of transporting unaccounted money worth Rs.2.35 crores.
Sakthidharan had earlier said that a communist leader had taken the unaccounted money wrapped in a palm mat and transported it the state capital. His latest revelation incriminating the Chief Minister and Minister P Rajeev by naming them, comes while the police is mulling to submit a report that there is no evidence in the case of unaccounted money transfer as claimed by Sakthidharan.
Sakthidharan in his social media post said that the money was transported from Deshabhimani’s office in Ernakulam to Thiruvananthapuram by the then party secretary and current Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan. He goes on to say that the money was then carried to CPI(M)’s state office, AKG Center, by the current Minister, P Rajeev.
He said that Pinarayi Vijayan collected the money by camping at Ernakulam for two days and then transported the money to Thiruvananthapuram. He said the money collected was not accounted for and there was no transparency in the dealings. He said that the money was transported secretly to Thiruvananthapuram.
The former editor said that those who believe that nothing will happen beyond what Pinarayi Vijayan says are fools. He also brought up the anti-communist novel ‘Darkness at Noon’ to say that communists are struggling to find the truth even at day time. No one can save them and they are led by people like MV Govindan, remarked G Sakthidharan.
