Wayanad: Two more accused have been arrested in connection with the death of Siddharth, a student at the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University campus in Pookode, Wayanad. The arrested individuals are Abhi from Alappuzha and Nasif from Kozhikode. It is believed that the two were also involved in torturing Siddharth and conspiracy involving Siddharth’s death.
The arrest of these two individuals follows the Chief Minister’s order for the CBI to investigate the case related to Siddharth’s death. The case was transferred to the CBI while the police investigation was ongoing. The family alleged that some of the accused are being deliberately protected.
A critical report from the anti-ragging squad has been released regarding Siddharth’s death. The report, based on statements from 97 individuals, reveals that Siddharth was subjected to severe harassment. He was assaulted by 18 people at various locations and forced to wear only his underwear. According to the report, the assault took place both inside the University campus and on a nearby hill.
